So, apparently I'm a bit of a crow as it seems I like to collect shiny things. For this project, we rooted around the apartment to find suitable robotesque materials. It started with a tin pie plate. And then I started finding more and more bits and bobs that would work as well. A lot of it I got at Urban Source, the adorable little arty-hodge-podge store I posted about earlier.
We used a fair amount of white glue but we were also lucky because a lot of the Urban Source items were actually adhesive-backed. Nice.
Spud and I sketched a couple of rough robot outlines and then we cut the shapes out of the material of Spud's choosing. I was a bit dismayed when he said he wanted the first robot body to be made out of the ribbon we had. But it worked out okay.
