Find Something For Which to Be Grateful. Take a Picture of It. Repeat 365 times.
Well. The final week has come and gone. I managed to find things for which to be grateful ... every day ... for a year. I wasn't a 100% confident I would make it to the end; I'm glad I did.
It wasn't actually ever hard to find things to be grateful for. What was more challenging was finding something that also would make an interesting photo. I didn't always meet my expectations there. But I do have some favourites. I look forward to an upcoming post detailing some of the discoveries during this project. But the biggest take-away, of course, is to be reminded just how lucky I am.
So, I'm glad I did it but am I going to miss my grateful project? Not really. I'm sure there will be times when I can't help myself but document some of those simple and amazing moments that show up here and there. So I'm going to reinstate my "Makes Me Happy" photos that I used to post here on random Wednesdays (like magnetic poetry, a boy and his inchworm, dutch oven tower, fall hike at lighthouse park) — of the same vein, really, but without the everyday pressure.
