Painting in the Woods

We remembered to bring paint brushes on our last outdoor painting escapade, but we thought it would be fun to find other things to paint with as well. The straw worked really well. As did the stick that Hubs carefully frayed at the end with his pocket knife. We didn't get around to checking out the rest of the forest floor; pine cones, tree needles, leaves, all also would have had interesting effects.

I love, love, love these outdoor art activities! My family goes camping very often in the fall and spring and we are going to be adding these ideas to our camping activites. I wonder what it would look like if you added a small bit of glitter to the paint mixture. I think we might try it:)) I'll let you know how it went. Laura

Laura! I love sparkles. Especially outside when you don't have to worry so much about sparkle clean up! I'm trying that next camping trip for sure.

Thanks for dropping a note.
